Transitions

Interim UW System President Tommy Thompson resigned effective March 18. The 80-year-old former governor took the job as interim president in July 2020.

Josh Dukelow announced his last radio show on WHBY in January after six years of broadcasting. He is relocating to Atlanta.

Jim Jarvis, Ahern executive vice president, won the 2021 Contractor of the Year award from the Mechanical Contractors Association of North Central Wisconsin.

The Fox Cities Chamber named Ryan Batley, general manager at Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel and Conference Center, the 2021 Young Professional of the Year.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College instructors Lisa Blohm, Sheila Gross-Rogers and Christopher Kozlovsky were each awarded $2,000 for professional development from the BayCare Clinic Foundation board.

Madison365 announced its SĆ­ Se Puede 2021: Wisconsin’s 36 Most Influential Latino Leaders, including Northeast Wisconsin leaders Rosario Ibarra, Grotegut Dairy Farm in Manitowoc County; Mayra Pasayes, Fox Valley Technical College; and Ignacio Enriquez, Appleton Police Department.

The Wisconsin Section of the Professional Golfers Association of America recognized the 2021 Players of the Year, including Assistant Player of the Year David Bach of Whistling Straits.
