New Hires

First American Capital Corporation, Inc. welcomed Kara Gunderson as a business education and technical assistance associate.

Kurt Johnson, a human resources professional with more than 42 years of experience, has joined LAKGroup as vice president of customer solutions.

Destination Kohler hired Chef RJ Cooper, a James Beard Award winner, as its new culinary director. Cooper will lead all aspects of food and beverage experiences at Kohler, including its Immigrant Restaurant, The Wisconsin Room, The Horse & Plow, Tavern on Woodlake, Blackwolf Run Restaurant, Whistling Straits Restaurant and River Wildlife Restaurant.

Insight Publications, a division of Woodard Communications, Inc., has hired Heather Dix and Nick Parker as account executives.

Andrea Peterson is the new program and communications manager for the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative, a program within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.

Transitions

At the close of 2024, Berners Schober celebrated the retirements of Dan Drain, Merri Bowser and Brian Meulemans. Drain served as an architect in the health care studio for nine years. Bowser retired after 26 years as specifications administrator. Meulemans concluded a 39-year career during which he served as a mechanical engineer, senior principal and supervisor of construction administration. Berners Schober hired Renee Lenss as HR/finance coordinator, Ruby Karas as interior designer I, Anthony Veriha as BIM/CAD specialist and Jack Quinn as architectural intern.

Mark Rohloff, who recently retired as Oshkosh city manager after 16 years, will be a manager in the public safety and municipal management division for McMahon.

Miron Construction Co., Inc., announced that David G. Voss, Jr. has transitioned to former CEO. Voss co-led Miron Construction since 1979. The following individuals will begin serving as the company’s corporate officers: Tim Kippenhan, president and chief operating officer; David Voss III, vice president and chief construction operating officer; Dan Voss, secretary and chief executive officer; and Dean Basten, treasurer and chief financial officer.

Bank of Luxemburg President and CEO Tim Treml retired after 29 years of service, eight of which were spent in his current role. Darren Voigt assumed the title of president and CEO. Treml led a rebranding effort that transformed the bank’s image and oversaw expansions into the Howard and Fish Creek markets. Voigt was part of Bank of Luxemburg’s leadership team for more than a decade.

Jake Bergstrom has been promoted to vice president of strategic operations at Bergstrom Automotive. He most recently served as general manager of Bergstrom Toyota and Volkswagen.

J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. announced the appointment of Stephanie Schmidt as the company’s new vice president of client service. Schmidt will succeed Kari DuBois, who is retiring.

The GameBoard, Sheboygan, promoted Annie Sugden to the position of brand manager.

Jason Bailin has been appointed vice president, sales at Eagle Performance Plastics, Inc. In this new role, he will be a member of the executive leadership team responsible for all sales, marketing and business development activities for the company.

Aaron Boettcher, Kevin Bahnke and Matthew Neu have been promoted to partners at Hawkins Ash CPAs. Boettcher joined Hawkins Ash CPAs in 2020; Behnke joined in 1997; Neu joined in 1999.

Fehr Graham, a Midwest engineering and environmental firm, promoted Dillon Plamann to environmental project manager. Plamann joined Fehr Graham in 2016.

McClone Insurance President and CEO Dustin McClone has been named a 2025 Wisconsin Titan 100 honoree.

Young Professionals of Fond du Lac, a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, announced its Future 5 Award recipients. The 2024 recipients are: Amber Bodart, branch manager, Verve, A Credit Union; Ashley Deiler, mortgage loan officer, National Exchange Bank & Trust; Mollie Petrie, operations manager, Integrity Saw & Tool, Inc.; Brittany Lynch, director of human resources, The Commonwealth Companies; and Joshua Wilsmann, senior engineer, Excel Engineering.

Multiple attorneys from the Law Firm of Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C. have earned designation on the esteemed Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America annual lists of outstanding attorneys. Those who made the 2024 Super Lawyers list include Robert Gagan, Kurt Goehre, Joshua Koch, Jodi Labs, James Ledvina, Steve Krueger and David Weber. Named to the 2024 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list are Shane Anderson and Travis Schreurs. Additionally, COJ attorneys were named to the 2025 Best Lawyers in America list. These include Gagan (municipal law) and Labs (environmental law). Making the list of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch are Goehre (labor and employment-management), Krueger (corporate law and banking & finance) and Matt Van Nuland (corporate law).

The American Foundry Society has recognized Waupaca Foundry’s Bryant Esch with the 2024 Childress-Loebler Lifetime Achievement Award. Esch is the corporate sustainability manager for the foundry and has been employed there for 32 years.
