Looking back, what personal experiences or milestones have had the greatest influence on your professional success?
Getting the chance to connect with local employers to grow the understanding of the Youth Apprenticeship program in the Pulaski area. Another experience is connecting with my students and helping them find their passion in life, and then watching them pursue their careers.
What role do you think young leaders like yourself play in shaping the future of communities?
Exactly what my role is today: Providing opportunities for students to learn about different careers and build relationships with possible employers in the area. I am able to help grow the workforce and ultimately affect the local community in a positive way.
What do you wish more people understood about your field or industry?
I wish that more people understood that just by giving one student a chance we can make a huge impact on their life and give them a sense of purpose.
What is one cause or issue that you’re especially passionate about?
Making sure that every single student has enough information and confidence to make a career path for themselves before graduation.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
I love to golf, hunt, fish and just be outdoors! I also coach baseball at Pulaski High School. When I am not doing any of those things, I am spending time with family and friends.
