What is one cause or issue that you’re especially passionate about, and why?

I’m incredibly passionate about uplifting and highlighting the Latino community, which plays a huge role in shaping our economy, culture, and society. They remain one of the most underserved communities, even as they contribute in a massive way to our economy.

Can you share one of the most significant challenges you’ve faced in your career and how you overcame it?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve had to work through is simply believing that I belonged; that I could make a real impact in my career and in my community. Growing up, I didn’t see people who looked like me in leadership roles or doing the kind of work I dreamed of. And when that’s your reality, it’s easy to internalize the idea that success isn’t meant for people like you. Now, when I walk into a space, I remind myself that I’m not just there for me, but for all the people coming after me who are still trying to see themselves in these spaces.

What legacy do you hope to leave, both in your career and in your community?

To show that Latinas are not only contributors to society, but essential to its growth, creativity, and heart. We show up, we lead, we work hard, we give back, and we deserve to be seen, heard, and treated fairly. As a Latina, I carry my family, my culture, and my community with me in everything I do.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, and who gave it to you?

The best advice I ever got was from a former supervisor who told me my career doesn’t have to be a straight climb upward. It’s okay to take detours, move sideways, and explore different paths along the way.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

I love exploring local coffee shops, restaurants, and events with family and friends. Traveling is a passion of mine, and I take every opportunity to do it. Being actively involved in my community is something I truly enjoy, whether it’s volunteering at local events, promoting them, or even helping to plan them.
