Five startups selected for accelerator gener8tor’s gBETA program

A new cohort will begin in the statewide accelerator generator program gBETA, with five companies selected.  

Of the five, HCL and Doogooda, came to Wisconsin thanks to Gener8tor and WEDC’s Accelerate Wisconsin initiative. The other three companies are 3D Powder Tech, FerroMX and Nelambos 

The gBETA Madison program, a partnership with WEDC, provides a free, seven-week, no-equity accelerator program to help startups get coaching from founders, and provides access to a national network of mentors and more.  

The goal is to help these startups find investment.

“Startups play a critical role in moving Wisconsin’s economy forward,” John W. Miller, secretary and CEO of WEDC, said in a statement. “With a history of bringing innovative ideas to life, Wisconsin is an ideal place for startups to put down roots and the WEDC is excited to support gener8tor’s accelerator program.” 

At the end of the gBETA program, the startup founders will pitch their companies to investors, community partners and the public on April 28 at Discovery 2 Productlocated at 1403 University Ave.
