Fox Cities Chamber offering Calumet County Leader Lab

The Fox Cities Chamber is partnering with Calumet County to bring “Leader Lab: Linking Organizational Culture and Leadership” to businesses in the region beginning Aug. 14.

Calumet County Leader Lab is a leadership training resource designed to impact leaders at all levels and across all industries. It is comprised of a combination of seven in-person sessions and a series of short video modules. Videos will be watched in class as well as in between classes then discussed at the in-person sessions. Topics include: Mission, Culture and Excellence; Growth; High Standards; Dealing with Duds; Decision Making; Dealing with Conflict and Fun in the Workplace.

“Many of us have learned leadership lessons from our life experiences without the benefit of formalized structure, practical application, or highly trained mentors,” said Jason Pausma, Economic Development Director, Calumet County. “This leadership program provides wonderful resources, tools, and applications to strengthen, develop, and retain our leaders at businesses and organizations within Calumet County. The Leader Lab program will bolster our talent pipeline, develop stronger teams, challenge emerging leaders, and encourage and motivate people looking for personal growth and deeper opportunities. We are excited to partner with the Fox Cities Chamber to offer this important and crucial program within Calumet County.”

The program “MindSets” encompass how great leaders think and what great leaders do.

The program is facilitated by Amy Schanke, director of Leadership Fox Cities.

Calumet County Leader Lab will be held from 9 – 10:30 a.m. on the following Wednesdays Aug. 14 and 28, Sept. 11 and 25, Oct. 9 and 23 and Nov. 6. The first class will be held at the Calumet County Administrative Building, 206 Court St/, Chilton.
