The Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau awarded a $90,300 Tourism Development Grant to the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass to enhance its visitor experience and accessibility.
“The Fox Cities are home to exceptional cultural assets,” said Pam Seidl, executive director of the FCCVB. “We are thrilled to invest in a truly world-class anchor of our regional tourism landscape. This funding will ensure the museum remains a vibrant and welcoming destination for all.”
Major renovations were made to modernize the museum’s offerings and improve inclusivity. Upgrades include new video and interactive technology, improved accessibility features, specialty lighting, and an expansion of the physical exhibit space.
An estimated 35% of the museum’s visitors are from outside of Wisconsin, generating an estimated 7,500 overnight stays annually.
The community is invited to experience the annual Glass Arts Festival at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass, Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
