Froedtert ThedaCare announces North Region president

Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc.  announced Robert Cavagnol, MD, MHA, FACS, will become the new president of the North Region July 29.

Cavagnol will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and strategic direction of the North Region of the combined organization. The North Region of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. encompasses the Fox Valley region and five surrounding rural markets, as well as the Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, Manitowoc and Sheboygan areas.

Cavagnol will serve as a visible leader within ThedaCare, as well as within the community.

Andrabi, MD, FAAFM, president of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. “His strong background in health care across a variety of patient settings will bring an authentic and energetic approach to advancing our legacy of vision.”

Froedtert Health President and CEO, Cathy Jacobson, initially assumed the role of CEO of the newly combined organization, and ThedaCare President and CEO, Dr. Andrabi, has served as president. Jacobson is set to retire at the end of June, and Andrabi will assume the role of president and CEO of Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. As the president of the North Region, Cavagnol will report directly to Andrabi and will be part of the system executive leadership team.

Cavagnol joins Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc. from St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho, where he held various leadership positions, including clinic president. He also held numerous leadership roles with Mercy Health System in Missouri.

In addition to his civilian career, Cavagnol served as a surgeon in the U.S. Navy from 2005-2008, completing service as a Lieutenant Commander. He was deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cavagnol received his master’s degree in healthcare administration from Missouri State University, a medical degree from Wayne State School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College.
