Community Action for Healthy Living, which provides substance misuse prevention and community health initiatives, announced it is closing its doors on March 20.
The decision to close was made after a thorough evaluation of the organization’s long-term sustainability, including the loss of critical funding and grants.
“For years, CAHL has empowered individuals, families and communities to lead healthier lives through education, advocacy and collaboration,” said Emma Kane, executive director at CAHL. “We are deeply grateful to all of our staff, volunteers, donors and partners who have supported our mission and made our work possible.”
Although CAHL is closing, the organization is committed to ensuring a smooth transition by providing resources and referrals to alternative organizations.
