Fox Valley Technical College and UW–Green Bay announced two new transfer pathways that make earning a bachelor’s degree more accessible, affordable and streamlined for students pursuing careers in criminal justice and business.

The institutions formalized their partnership with a Memorandum of Understanding Oct. 23 at FVTC’s Public Safety Training Center. These agreements reflect a shared commitment to student success and regional workforce development.

“We are excited about these new options for our students,” said FVTC President Dr. Chris Matheny. “These pathways provide a clear route for students to continue their education, save money and enter the workforce with the skills our region needs.”

FVTC offers students earning an associate degree in criminal justice, asset protection, forensic science and legal studies/paralegal a seamless transfer into UW-Green Bay’s newly launched criminal justice major. This initiative also supports calls from city and law enforcement leaders for stronger education collaboration in the field.

These programs feature modern, career-focused curricula and certificate options designed to meet both student goals and employer needs.

“This progress honors the great education that is happening at the technical colleges in our region and breaks down barriers for students who want to continue their education,” said UW-Green Bay Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Kate Burns. “UW-Green Bay is proud to strengthen our partnership with FVTC — our second-largest transfer partner and a vital contributor to the region’s talent ecosystem. This fall, 298 FVTC students are enrolled at UW-Green Bay. It’s all about access, opportunity, and helping students reach their full potential.”
