Pat and Paula Fuge, owners of Gnome Games, Green Bay, were recently selected for a prestigious TAGIE Award from People of Play.
Now in its 16th year, the TAGIEs honor the most innovative inventors, designers, suppliers, retailers, marketers and PR teams in the toy and game industry.
Gnome Games has locations in Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay and Appleton but also hosts hundreds of community outreach events in schools, churches and other venues across northeastern Wisconsin annually. The programs have set the industry standard for educational outreach and their award winning partnership marketing programs continue to put games in front of families in fun and engaging ways that make big box boring.
Head Gnome Pat Fuge, says of the nomination, “Paula and I were surprised when we got word of the nomination. We had no idea. It’s quite an honor to be nominated as the innovative retailer of the year alongside big box superstars like FAO Schwartz, who everyone knows. It’s very humbling, especially when you think of all the retailers out there. We’ve been putting games on tables across northeastern Wisconsin for over 20 years and many of our programs and community partnerships have had a positive impact at the industry level.”
