Grande Cheese broke ground for a 60,000-square-foot expansion of its plant in Chilton.
In addition to the new construction, Grande will renovate 20,000 square feet. Construction is expected to be complete in mid 2026.
The plant will become Grande’s third largest and it will produce primarily mozzarella cheese. It will employ 75 people.
Grande bought the plant from Foremost Farms in 2023 and also has facilities in Brownsville, Fond du Lac, Friendship, Juda, Lomira, Rubicon and Wyocena.
Grande produces Italian style cheeses for the foodservice market.
