Green Bay Converting CEO Jonathan Dyer spoke Wednesday about a fire that destroyed portions of its 800,000-square-foot facility on Larsen Road in Green Bay.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 7:45 a.m. March 16 and found smoke coming from the roof. Blizzard conditions, including heavy snow and strong winds, hampered firefighting efforts which continued through March 17.

No cause of the fire has been determined and investigators will be on scene potentially for weeks. As of 5 p.m. March 18, firefighters remained on the scene in case of flare ups. Two minor injuries two emergency responders were reported.

Dyer said, “We want to sincerely thank the firefighters, first responders, and safety personnel who have worked through extremely difficult conditions—heavy winds, snowfall, and snow-covered ground. We’re also grateful to the local agencies and community partners who have supported these efforts and our company over the last several days.
