The city of Green Bay thas luanched a new Resilience & Sustainability Hub on the City’s website.

The hub showcases Green Bay’s commitment to environmental stewardship and climate resilience, highlighting the city’s goal of achieving 100% clean energy and carbon neutrality by 2050. Since the Green Bay City Council approved this resolution in 2021, the city has made significant progress on 16 of the 36 recommendations outlined in the comprehensive Clean Energy Green Bay Plan.

The Resilience and Sustainability Hub builds on the work of the Resilience and Sustainability Team, an interdepartmental working group that was created in January 2025.

“This hub represents our commitment to transparency and community engagement in our sustainability efforts,” said Mayor Eric Genrich. The initiative builds on the city’s recent achievements, including earning SolSmart Silver Certification, which recognizes communities for streamlining solar energy development and has been shown to increase solar installations by 17-20%.
