Green Bay Metro will relaunch its microtransit service July 1 with on demand service that offers more flexiblity.
GBM On Demand is a flexible public microtransit service that allows riders to request trips in real time. The separate Daytime zones will be consolidated into one large service area providing more = flexibility to ride to/from anywhere within the Daytime zone, including transfer points, Monday-Friday 5:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. or Saturday 7:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Instead of following fixed routes and schedules, GBM On Demand uses smaller vehicles to provide corner-to-corner service.
Riders can book trips using a smartphone app or by phone. Eligible paratransit riders can also access paratransit or GBM On Demand rides within the same GBM Transit app. We’re excited to bring you a smoother, more connected transit experience!
The GBM Transit app will show you the best available trip option at the tap of a button, whether it’s an On Demand ride or a bus trip.
“Green Bay Metro is committed to providing reliable, accessible, and innovative transit options for our community,” said Patty Kiewiz, Green Bay Metro Transit Director. “These changes reflect our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of Green Bay residents and visitors.”
