The Van Horn Automotive Group recently broke ground for a new Kia dealership at 3512 Wilgus Ave., Sheboygan, as part of an agreement made with Kia Corporation during the purchase of Brantmeier Ford Kia in November 2020.

The dealership and surrounding lot will occupy 3.5 acres, with enough room to park more 200 vehicles.  The main floor of the dealership  will be 23,500 square feet with a 4,200-square-foot second floor. The showroom exterior wall will be 80% glass. There will be private and semi-private offices and a full-service customer lounge with refreshments and a large video screen.

The service area will feature a two-bay, indoor service reception lane and three service writing workstations. The air-conditioned shop will have 18 service bays.

“We are very excited to see this project move forward,” said Jeff Niesen, president of Van Horn Automotive Group. “Kia has been a very successful brand for us for the past three years and they continue to turn out great new products. When we acquired Brantmeier Ford Kia in 2020, we immediately started making plans to give Kia a separate dealership it deserves, which will also allow Ford to expand their operation at the current location.” Bob Poch, Vice President for Keller’s South Central Region said, “Keller is very proud to be selected as the design/build contractor for the Van Horn facility, and we look forward to getting it completed on time and on budget.”
