The Hmong Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce announced that Maysee Herr has stepped down from her role as chief executive officer.

Kristy Vang, HWCC’s director of operations and finance, has been appointed as executive vice president and interim executive director.

“HWCC’s mission and services will continue uninterrupted,” said David Kircher, Board President. “We remain committed to advancing economic equity, entrepreneurial success, and inclusive growth for Wisconsin’s Hmong and AAPI communities.”

Herr said,  “I am leaving HWCC with a deep sense of gratitude and pride for all that has been accomplished by the organization to support Wisconsin entrepreneurs from historically underinvested communities over the last six years. The trust of the communities served and partnerships built made our work possible and most importantly, impactful.”
