Change is never easy. It can be scary to reimagine what has worked well in the past and embrace something new. Yet, if there’s one lesson I’ve learned over my career, it’s that growth often demands change. As we look ahead to 2025, Insight is embracing this truth. While the idea of change can sometimes feel daunting, it is also a catalyst for progress — a way to refine, improve and better serve our readers and advertisers. This year, we’re embarking on an exciting journey and I can’t wait to share it with you.
As a proud native of Northeast Wisconsin and Insight’s new general manager, I am thrilled to join an organization that plays such a vital role in strengthening our New North business community. I look forward to connecting with our readers, advertisers and partners throughout the region, learning how you utilize Insight to engage with the community, and sharing your unique stories.
As we begin this exciting journey together, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to Brian Rasmussen for his outstanding leadership as Insight’s founder. While Brian is looking forward to retirement, he will continue to support Insight as our publisher emeritus for a little longer, providing invaluable guidance during my transition into this new role. This aspect of the transition brings me great joy, as I believe deeply in the power of collaboration. While I bring 20 years of leadership experience in strategic and results-driven solutions, I am a team-oriented professional who understands that reaching new milestones is only possible by learning from and appreciating those who have been instrumental in shaping the foundation upon which this next chapter will be built.
Now, let me share why I am so excited for the work ahead. The decision to join this team was an easy one after meeting with them to gain a deeper understanding of the growing opportunities, the editorial content and advertising solutions we provide and the incredible community we serve. After every meeting, I walked away truly impressed by the team’s creativity, foresight and exceptional attention to detail.
There is a lot to look forward to in the new year. In 2025, we will be enhancing our print publications Insight on Business and Insight on Manufacturing with broader industry coverage and a more diverse business leadership audience. We will also be expanding our product portfolio and continuing to improve our daily digital news and events. Of course, this also means there will be new and enhanced ways to engage with our Insight community and audience.
As a division of Woodward Communications — an employee-owned media company — Insight is in a unique position to leverage resources and the expertise of our colleagues from the company’s radio division. That type of collaboration can be seen in our NEW Manufacturing Insights podcast, produced in partnership with the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance. I encourage you to give it a listen and subscribe. We will be continuing to explore collaborations within the walls of Insight as well as beyond with our community partners. Because when we work together, we win.
But don’t worry — we will continue to present in-depth profiles of local business leaders as well as exclusive insights into the key industries and market trends impacting your business.
For the past 17 years, Insight has celebrated stories of the people, companies and ideas driving our region forward. We can’t wait to continue serving you in the new year ahead.
