New hires

Sheboygan Paint Company announced that Chris Sonntag has joined the company as director of sales and marketing. Leon Hosier has joined the company as technical service representative.

Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. hired Jon Morehouse as a project manager. Morehouse has more than 10 years of experience in design and construction.

TitletownTech, a venture capital firm formed out of a partnership between the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft, welcomed Mike Gallagher to its team as senior strategic advisor. Gallagher served as the U.S. Representative from 2017-2024 for Wisconsin’s 8th District and was known for his leadership on national security issues.

CESA 6 has added Stacey Bramstedt as executive director of adult and system learning, Mike Corrie as executive director of direct student solutions and Erin Calvin as executive director of operational solutions.

McCormick Assisted Living, the Green Bay campus division of St. Paul Elder Services, announced the promotion of Elyse Vandersteen to household coordinator and hired Evan Molling as its new administrator of assisted living, Claire Kalaus as its new life enrichment coordinator and Devin Trester as its new facilities manager.

The Fox Cities Chamber recently welcomed Cheryl Fahrner, manager of economic development, to its team. Fahrner most recently served as executive director of Columbia County Economic Development Corporation and the Columbia County Visitors Bureau.

Habitat for Humanity Lakeside announced the appointment of Daryl Mangeri as its new executive director. Mangeri served with The Salvation Army for 15 years and the Family Services Association for the past five years.

O’Connor Connective, a strategic communications and consulting firm for companies and nonprofits, announced Nina Nolan Rouse as the organization’s president, effective July 8.


Promotions

Oshkosh Corp. announced that Michael Pack, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Oshkosh, has been appointed as president of the vocational segment, effective immediately, succeeding Jim Johnson in that role. Johnson is retiring effective June 30.

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center announced that Paul Coenen is the recipient of its 2023 Distinguished Service Award.

Festival Foods announced that Jackie Johnson, senior director of fresh item management, and Jessica Fontenot, senior director of bakery, have been named Champions of Change by the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association and Supermarket News.

Three people were inducted into the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame during the Wisconsin Paper Council annual meeting. Christian Schiel was the former chief development engineer for J.M. Voith. Harold Miller is the founder of Marathon Engineering and is credited with playing a key role in establishing the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame as well as the Paper Discovery Center, now Atlas Science Center. Harry Spiegelberg, who spent his entire career at Kimberly-Clark, rose to the position of vice president of technology and patent strategy.


Board appointments

Mary Goggans, retired president of Encapsys, LLC, has been named as a new co-chair of New North Inc., the economic development corporation for the 18 counties of Northeast Wisconsin, joining Sachin Shivaram of Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry. She replaces Michelle Schuler of Microsoft, who will remain as a member of the board of directors and executive committee.


Transitions

The Alliance Board of Directors appointed Curt Kubiak to be the new president and CEO of The Alliance. He replaces Cheryl DeMars, who served in the role for 17 years. Kubiak was the founder and CEO of NOVO Health prior to moving to The Alliance.

Appleton native Anna Murphy-Pociask has spent the last year touring the United States as one of the drivers of the Wienermobile. Murphy-Pociask took the public relations job for Kraft-Heinz after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She had previously interned for Discover Oshkosh.

Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson was elected co-chair of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative during its annual general meeting in Montreal. The Cities Initiative is a multinational coalition of local governments, led by 260 mayors and chief elected officers, working collaboratively to safeguard the economic, environmental and social health of communities in the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River Basin.

The Fox Cities Chamber hosted a commencement ceremony for its 2023-2024 Leadership Fox Cities program.
