New hires

Hospital Sisters Health System announced that Robert J. Erickson has been named HSHS Wisconsin market president and CEO. He will also serve as president and CEO for HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay and have oversight of HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan and HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls.

Expert Real Estate Partners welcomed Dianna Thor and Alyson Peters as new real estate agents.

Johnson Financial Group Financial Advisors announced the addition of Jack Paulson in its Green Bay office as an associate financial consultant.

The city of Kaukauna welcomed Dave Kittel as its new director of planning and community development. His previous position was community development director for the village of Little Chute.

Danielle Joerger has been named as the new naturalist and director for Calumet County’s Brillion Nature Center.

The SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic welcomed Trevor Walker, a family medicine physician, to its North Fond du Lac clinic. Erin Salter, a board-certified urologist, is now also accepting patients in Fond du Lac.

The Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery, Neenah, welcomed plastic surgeon Kenneth Dembny.

Mark Wilton is the new executive director for the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Wilton takes the place of Lisa Meier, who left in April to join Discover Wisconsin. Meier had served as executive director since 2020.


Promotions

Cal Kanowitz has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing at Marion Body Works. Taylor Gut has been promoted to director of sales and marketing.

Carolyn Derosiers was promoted to director of community engagement at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. She had been manager of community engagement since 2017.

Titletown Manufacturing LLC has promoted Jesse Turkow to general manager and a co-ownership role with the Green Bay-based precision machining and fabrication specialist. Turkow, who previously served as the company’s operations manager, joins Chris Fuss as co-owner following the retirement of former co-owner Dan Hilliard.

Kundinger announced the promotion of Stacey Burns to purchasing team leader at its Neenah location, as well as the addition of three new team members: John Blahnik, Herman Mohr and Kenneth Root. Blahnik is a customer service representative; Mohr is a warehouse team leader; Root is a warehouse associate.

On Broadway, Inc. has reorganized its leadership team as its responsibilities evolve with the development of the Green Bay Public Market. Brian Johnson is now president and CEO of On Broadway, Inc. and general manager of the Green Bay Public Market; Allie Thut is chief operating officer; Brooke Hafs becomes vice president of donor engagement; and Mary Rhode becomes vice president of marketing and communications.

Longtime Blind Horse Restaurant & Winery team member Patrick Regenwether has been promoted to head winemaker. Prior to joining The Blind Horse, Regenwether worked for Kohler Co.’s hospitality and real estate division.

Gov. Tony Evers announced the appointment of David Casey as secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Casey previously served as the deputy secretary of DOR, and his appointment fills the vacancy created by Peter Barca’s departure.

The Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce has selected interim executive director Jorge Antezana to fill the CEO role at the nonprofit organization. Antezana was the chamber’s vice president of operations before becoming interim executive director.


Awards

Leadership Fond du Lac County, a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, named Dan Hebel as the 2024 recipient of the Donald G. Jones Leadership Alumni Award. Hebel is the CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac.

The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh announced Mark Lasky and Lauren Nicholls as its 2023 Distinguished Service Awards honorees. Lasky was presented with the J.R. Vette Friend of Youth Award. Nicholls was presented with the Professional Service Award. In addition, Jamie Wilcox, director of facilities, has been awarded the National Contribution to the Profession Award by Boys & Girls Club of America.

Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Tracy Qualmann, senior director of marketing and communication, was presented with the 2024 BioForward Community Service Award at the BioForward Annual Member Meeting May 1.


Board appointments

McCarty Law LLP announced that Jon Fischer has been added to the Wispact board of directors. Wispact is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and improving the quality of life for Wisconsin residents with disabilities.

The Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Foundation welcomes new board directors: Barb Streubel, chief information officer at KI; Nikki Kimbrough, founder of Kimbrough Adult Family Home; and Steve Marshall, vice president of commercial lending at First Business Bank.


Education

Aaron Sadoff has been appointed the 18th president of Marian University to succeed Michelle Majewski, who retired after 37 years of service — four as president — to the university. Sadoff comes to Marian from the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, where he had been executive director since 2022.

Steve Harrison has been selected as the next superintendent of the Neenah Joint School District and will begin his duties July 1. He comes to Neenah from the Appleton Area School District, where he has worked since 2015 and has been the assistant superintendent for assessment, curriculum and instruction for the past five years.

Moraine Park Technical College has named Amanda Fryman, Oakfield, as its 2024 Distinguished Alumna.

One Lawrence University student and three 2023 graduates have been named 2024 Fulbright Scholars. The award recipients are senior Jonathan Bass, a double degree student in music performance (piano) and French and francophone studies from Greenville; Gunner Bauer, who majored in government and Russian studies; Miri Villerius, who was a music and religious studies double major; and Ayla Walther, who recently received her Wisconsin teacher certification after student teaching in Ashwaubenon.

St. Mary Catholic high school student Sammi Weiss was selected to represent SMCS at the 2024 Wisconsin Leadership Seminar taking place June 14-16 on the campus of Carroll University in Waukesha.
