Lamers Bus reported in a social media post that its Fox Cities terminal was directly in the path of the tornado July 27.
The company says 50 school buses were totaled and another 130 were damaged. The terminal building was heavily damaged and will be razed.

Staff is working out of the company’s terminal in Freedom and preparing school bus routes for Appleton, Kimberly, Hilbert, Stockbridge and Menasha.
“In the time since, we’ve learned a lot about our resilience — and we’re constantly reminded how great our people are,” the social media post reads. “Huge thanks to our office staff, mechanics, cleaners, and drivers who’ve worked so hard through this — including those who volunteered to shuttle United Way volunteers into storm-affected areas in the days immediately following the storm as we were dealing with our own destruction.”
Lamers also said it is hiring drivers and mechanics. GoLamers.com/careers.
