An Arizona company wants to lease 47 acres at Wittman Regional Airport to build 102 hangars and other facilities, according to the Oshkosh Herald.

Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corp. has been working with Volare Hangars on a proposed development to include space for businesses, hangars, and other aviation-related uses.

Airport Director Jim Schell said it would be the largest expansion in the airport’s history.

The proposed agreement calls for Volare Aviation LLC to lease the land for 50 years for 35 cents per buildable square foot. It could generate up to $614,000 per year. The lease would provide for annual increases.
