It might be March, but preparations are already underway for Insight’s sixth annual Women of Influence in the New North Region Awards July 29.
In fact, nominations are due March 14, so if you haven’t submitted yours yet, please don’t delay.
I’m so excited to take part in my first Women of Influence event as Insight’s general manager, in part because of some feedback recently shared with me.
Stephanie Schultz, marketing director for Bernatello’s Foods in Kaukauna, attended our 2024 Women of Influence Awards and was delighted to meet many new faces. She said while she enjoyed catching up with well-known community leaders she’s known for years, Schultz was particularly excited to meet many women for the first time — women like Angel Berry, one of last year’s honorees who shared her powerful story of forging Sheboygan’s first nonprofit 24/7 child care facility. As a single mother who worked nights, Berry knew firsthand the need for high quality child care at all hours of the day, so she decided to do something about it. She shared her emotional story of challenge and perseverance, and captured the audience.
According to Schultz, there was little chance she would have encountered Berry’s work had she not attended Women of Influence. And those introductions are what make this event so powerful.
Making an impact comes in many forms, and Women of Influence honors them all. You will get an intimate look at our region’s most decorated business leaders alongside lesser-known, but oh-so-important women on the front lines, pursuing their dreams day in and day out.
I sincerely hope you will consider attending July 29. I’d love to connect with you — whether again or for the first time.
