Man charged with embezzling $275,000 from construction company

A Bonduel man is accused of embezzling more than $275,000 from a Green Bay area contracting company where he was employed.

John Petcka, 54, Bonduel, allegedly issued more than 400 checks for personal expenses between November 2017 and October 2022.

Petcka was employed as an office manager and had a signature stamp for checks but was not authorized to issue any checks for personal expenses. His employment was terminated in February 2023.

Petcka allegedly issued 65 checks to himself, more than 100 checks to Menards, a check to a car dealership and others including several checks to his wife Deborah.

Deborah Petcka, who was never employed by the company, also has been charged as a party to the crime.

Both made an initial court appearance April 29.
