Manufacturing First: A tradition worth celebrating

Local news about the companies, people and issues that impact business in Northeast Wisconsin and beyond.

Steve Jones first met his mentor, Bob Chapman, when Chapman delivered the keynote address at the 2018 Manufacturing First Expo & Conference. One can only imagine Jones, perhaps best known in our region for leading Kimberly High School to five-straight state football titles as a head coach, will be channeling Chapman when he delivers his own inspirational keynote at the 14th annual Manufacturing First later this month.

Today Jones is a full-time leadership coach and consultant, capitalizing on the leadership and team-building wisdom he gained in his education career. The co-founder of Jadin Jones Consulting is excited to share that wisdom with manufacturing leaders from across the state Oct. 30. Your opportunity to hear Jones’ keynote address, “Developing Leaders Who Grow a Winning Culture,” is coming up at Manufacturing First 2024, which will be held this year for the third-straight time at Resch Expo in Green Bay. Registration is open now at manufacturingfirst.com.

Manufacturing First is a celebrated tradition for all of us in the region, but especially at Insight Publications, the NEW Manufacturing Alliance and First Business Bank. The event has grown into the largest annual manufacturing expo in our state and has truly become a “don’t miss” celebration. Record attendance, more than 225 exhibitors, exciting learning opportunities and boundless energy are once again expected this year.

As you may have already read in this month’s manufacturing feature, AI and Industry 4.0 are expected to be hot topics at this year’s event. If you’re feeling at all stymied by the influx of technology, Manufacturing First should be an ideal environment for sharing ideas and challenges with your fellow business leaders. This year’s event will also include presentations on safety, cybersecurity, talent, sustainability and more. And be sure to stay for a drink at the networking extravaganza we call “Power Hour,” with your chance to win prizes.
