New hires

Mark Van Der Wegen joined the municipal services team in raSmith’s Appleton office, where he will play an integral role in the growth of raSmith’s municipal engineering presence in the greater Fox Valley region.

Expert Real Estate Partners welcomed Jennifer Buah and Blake Dempsey as new agents.

Lawrence University announced the following new hires: Robert Nowak, associate vice president for enrollment management; Julie Vanden Acker, associate vice president for information technology services; Miranda Wollin, associate vice president for human resources; and Shola Adegbite, assistant dean of spiritual and religious life.

Verve, a Credit Union, Oshkosh, has announced the addition of Renee Petersen as vice president of operations to its executive team. Petersen comes to Verve with more than 30 years of financial institution experience, most recently working as senior vice president of operations at Community First Credit Union in Neenah.

Following the retirement of Maureen Feldt, Cassandra Kohls joined 1000 Islands, Kaukauna, in February as its new administrative assistant. Nathaniel Blood has been named as the new naturalist. Blood has held prior naturalist positions, including those for Brown County Parks and Bay Beach, and joins 1000 Islands after working as a Neenah High School teacher.

The leadership at Oneida Comprehensive Health Division introduced Karen Lane, a board-certified pediatrician for more than 25 years, as the new medical director. Dennis Reckelberg was named as the new pharmacy director, selected following the retirement of James Poels.

Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. announced the addition of Kaylee Bertrand, Joel Harris and Phil VandeWettering. Bertrand, a designer, is a 2023 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies. Harris joins Hoffman as a field project manager following several years of serving as a construction superintendent for multiple construction firms. VandeWettering will lead Hoffman’s business development efforts in the manufacturing market as the firm’s new manufacturing account manager.

Keller, Inc. announced the hiring of Joe Cahill as a project manager, Michael Johnson as a footing/wall craftsman and Connor Delwiche as a flatwork craftsman.

McMahon, Neenah, announced the hiring of Joe Koschnik and Nolan Niedermeyer. Koschnik is a municipal transportation engineering technician, and Neidermeyer is a GIS analyst.

Eppstein Uhen Architects announced Emily Dunn as its new director of workplace strategy, Kendall Tynes as its experiential graphic design leader and Tricia Rocheleau in project development.

Fox World Travel, Oshkosh, announced the strategic expansion of its business travel team with the appointments of three industry veterans: Katie Meyer, global sales director; Lisa King, solutions sales director; and Katharine Radovich, director, sales enablement and operations.

Promotions

Bank of Luxemburg, Green Bay, announced the recent promotion of Lisa Schwalen to the position of assistant vice president of retail. She has worked with the Bank of Luxemburg for nine years.

Jason Bailin has been promoted to the new role of sales manager for Eagle Performance Plastics, Inc.

Fehr Graham, Sheboygan, announced the promotion of Jenna Williams to environmental health and safety scientist.

The Wisconsin Grocers Association Board of Directors announced Mike Semmann as the new president and chief executive officer, replacing Brandon Scholz, who recently retired. Semmann joined WGA as the vice president of government affairs.


Awards

The Women in Trucking Association has selected Schneider National’s Executive Vice President of Human Resources Angela Fish and Director of Regulatory Services and Driver Training Andrea Sequin as Top Women to Watch in Transportation in 2024. In addition, Schneider Senior Vice President of Operations Jason Howe has been named a 2024 Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

Young Professionals of Fond du Lac, a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, named Kim Bresser of Mercury Racing its 2023 Young Professional of the Year.

Steve Straub, recently retired Fox Valley Technical College dean of manufacturing, agriculture and construction, received an Award of Excellence from the Wisconsin Technology Education Association. The award was presented at the WTEA annual conference in Wisconsin Dells March 26.

Hunter Mans, a financial advisor at The Stephenson National Bank & Trust, has been honored with the 2023 Mary L. Staudenmaier Worthy Individual Noted for Generous Service Award. This award is presented annually to an SNBT employee who shows unwavering commitment to community service and volunteerism.

Three staff members at the Fox Cities Chamber recently earned certifications through the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Eric Broten, vice president of business growth and development, and Aimee Herrick, director of events and emerging talent, earned the ACCE’s inaugural Certificate in Workforce Development Fundamentals. Herrick and Grace Malek, special events coordinator, earned the ACCE Certificate in Chamber Management: Events, Programs and Communications.

At the recent State of the Broadway District event, On Broadway, Inc. awarded its annual Impact Award to Paul Jadin and announced the award would be named for him going forward.

Daniel Ewart and Ashlee Prochnow, McMahon, Neenah, recently obtained new professional licenses. Ewart obtained his professional engineer license, and Prochnow obtained her architectural license.


Board appointments

Oral Health Partnership announced Grant Frazer with Keller, Inc. and Amanda Markiewicz with Humana, Inc. have joined its board of directors.

Lakeshore Technical College President Paul Carlsen has been elected to the American Association of Community Colleges board of directors. The AACC is a national advocacy organization representing more than 1,000 two-year community colleges across the country that serve nearly 12 million students. Board members are elected by CEO members of the association.


Education

St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy have named Andrew Mulloy as headmaster for the 2024-25 school year, effective July 1.


Transitions

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. announced that board member John Pfeifer has chosen not to stand for reelection to the company’s board of directors. His term will end at the May 7 annual meeting of shareholders. He was first appointed to the Manitowoc board in 2016, when he was president and chief executive officer of Oshkosh Corporation.
