Beginning Dec. 17, The Mulva Cultural Center will implement a new pricing model with all exhibitions and most films complimentary to all visitors.
Exhibitions like Life in Space, currently in the main exhibition hall through Jan. 5 and films in Discover Auditorium were previously a fee for Mulva Cultural Center visitors. Now, all exhibitions and most films will only require a reserved timed ticket for entry, which can be reserved at MulvaCenter.org. Certain specialty films require a distributor-set fee, which is determined independently of the Mulva Center team.
“It was the wish of our benefactors, Jim and Miriam Mulva, to eliminate pricing barriers for visitors, so community members, families and Northeast Wisconsin visitors can visit our exhibitions time and time again,” said Marvin Wall, Mulva Cultural Center Executive Director. “With this change happening prior to the holidays, Mulva Cultural Center is the perfect destination to visit on the cold, snowy days over the holiday break.”
The new pricing model is also reflected in Mulva Cultural Center memberships, which are now offered in three tiers. Memberships will include more member-exclusive events, programs, and discounts than the previous membership structure. Mulva Cultural Center members prior to Dec. 15 will receive a complimentary four-month extension to their membership. New members will be on the standard 12-month period. Current and future Mulva Cultural Center members can learn more about memberships on the website under the “Plan Your Visit,” then “Membership” tab.
“Memberships provide a sense of belonging, community, ownership and excitement for our supporters, and those feelings are at the heart of the benefits to our new membership tiers,” said Wall. “By simplifying our levels to three, we’re creating a more inclusive and flexible option. Supporters will now choose how much they would like to give, and their level of support automatically puts them into a membership level.”
The first member-exclusive event will take place at the end of January for the opening of the next main hall exhibition, The Real Genghis Khan. This exclusive members-only preview will take place over three days at the end of January before opening to the public. The Real Genghis Khan will be on display through May 3.
