The second episode of NEW Manufacturing Insights, a joint podcast of the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance (NEWMA) and Insight on Manufacturing (IOM) magazine, is now available for streaming and download.

New episodes will be posted on Thursdays at www.spreaker.com/show/new-manufacturing-insights, as well as through SpotifyiHeartRadio and Amazon. The Apple Podcasts platform is expected to be available soon.

In Episode 2, co-hosts Ann Franz of NEWMA and Kate Bruns of IOM spoke with Anne Savaglio Troka, senior manager of community and workforce development for Sargento Foods, about the company’s successful college internship program.

“It’s really important because it’s an opportunity for you to get to know people on a personal level. So many of us talk about ‘Gen Z,’ but really we’re people,” Troka told co-hosts Ann Franz and Kate Bruns. “By giving opportunities for people to connect with people, it encourages that relationship to build, and that understanding, and what I love is that our students are learning but at the same time all of us, the mentors who are working with them, are learning also.”
