Revelry, a new music and event venue, will be opening in the former Schauer & Schumacher building at 227 E. Walnut St. in downtown Green Bay.
Revelry will fill a mid-level venue gap that Green Bay has been missing for many years. The dual-floor space will be home to a 425-capacity concert venue with an all-the-time bar and smaller stage for local and acoustic performances with a capacity of 220 on the venue’s first floor.
Reverly aims to attract mid-level national tours that typically bypass the city for Madison and Milwaukee. While the primary focus of the space will be to bring concerts to the heart of downtown, the space will also be available for gatherings, such as small weddings, fundraisers, galas, and private parties.
“The partners involved in this project have been working in and supporting the Green Bay music scene for many, many years,” states Thomas Johnson, GM of Revelry. “We recognized a need for a mid-sized venue and set out to forge our own path by creating a space that not only can handle 400-plus capacity shows, but can also be an everyday hangout for people who love and enjoy music.”
Revelry is slated to open Aug. 1 with a celebration Aug. 28 to 29.
