AmeriLux International, a distributor and fabricator of plastic sheets, and Brett Martin announced the formation of American Polycarbonate Company. This joint venture will manufacture polycarbonate sheets at AmeriLux’s new 500,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution center in De Pere starting early next year.

Construction

A $1.95 million construction project for the St. Joseph Food Program in Menasha has been completed by Miron Construction.

Keller, Inc. is the architect and general contractor for a 6,000-square-foot interior remodel for Winnebago Oral Surgery in Oshkosh; a 6,000-square-foot addition, with a reroof, for Accurate Machine Co Inc. in Kaukauna; and a new paint line project for Wisconsin Lighting Lab, Inc. (WiLL) in Fond du Lac.

Aspiro broke ground on a $21 million renovation at its Dousman Street campus. There will be new classrooms, an art studio, music room, teaching kitchen, gymnasium, dementia-friendly spaces, a modern nurses’ station, and infrastructure upgrades including roofing, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

Bayland Buildings recently completed a 4,700-square-foot addition to Dix Titletown Lumber and Creative Decks and Landscaping in Green Bay and a 4,100-square-foot Culver’s restaurant in Combined Locks. In addition, Bayland is working with Growing and Making Dreams LLC in Combined Locks on a 4,050-square-foot facility next to the new Culver’s that will serve as an office, storage and training facility for the restaurants. Bayland will also construct a 14,760-square-foot pre-engineered metal building for OptionFive in New London.

Grants

Bay Bank awarded the following nonprofits in the Green Bay and Keshena area $3,000 each: Medicine Fish, Menomini yoU, Woodland Boys & Girls Club, She Rises Collective, Oneida Community Lacrosse Program, Oneida Nation High School Girls Flag Football Program, Woodland Indian Arts Board, Brown County United Way, Ashwaubenon Youth Baseball and Ashwaubenon Lions.

The Fox Valley Humane Association announced a $100,000 matching gift from Mary Beth Nienhaus. The matching period runs through Dec. 31.

Unity received a $25,000 grant from the K.C. Stock Foundation to support its supportive care management program. Unity received $20,000 from the Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer.

SSM Health donated $10,000 to NAMI Fond du Lac County, $7,500 to Sigma of Fond du Lac and $10,000 to the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac. In addition, the Agnesian HealthCare Foundation recently hosted its 37th annual Charity Open, raising $525,000.

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders donated $3,500 to the Boys & Girls Club of Fond du Lac County through the Silica For Your Home stolen base promotion.

Fox Valley Memory Project has been awarded a $115,555 grant from the Alzheimer’s Association’s Center for Dementia Respite Innovation.

Education

Fox Valley Technical College received multiple Workforce Advancement Training grants from the Wisconsin Technical College System totaling nearly $950,000. In addition, a $2.1 million expansion project benefiting students in the dental hygienist, dental assistant and expanded function dental auxiliary pathways is complete at FVTC.

The University of Wisconsin‑Green Bay has launched a new English‑to‑Spanish noncredit certificate program including an American Translators Association exam prep boot camp.

Woodward Community Media extended its partnership with Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Northeast region, by continuing to provide media experience at JA BizTown in Appleton.

Lakeshore College’s Sheboygan campus moved from 1320 Niagara Ave. to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Sheboygan campus at 1 University Drive.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College joined the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program’s Unlocking Opportunity Network.

Moraine Park Technical College was awarded $1.17 million in Workforce Advancement Training grants from the Wisconsin Technical College System; these will support more than 49 companies and almost 6,000 hours of training.
