Ariens Nordic Center has added Olympian biathlete Paul Schommer as an employee, further strengthening its commitment to excellence in outdoor sports and community programming, while focusing on youth in the region.

A Wisconsin native from Kimberly, Schommer has long-standing ties to both the local community and Ariens Nordic Center. As a newly retired member of the U.S. Biathlon Team, which is sponsored by the Ariens brand, Schommer has built a strong and enduring relationship with Ariens and its Nordic Center initiatives over the years.

Schommer joined the U.S. Biathlon National Team in 2017. He represented Team USA in biathlon at two Winter Olympic Games (the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics) and has competed extensively on the Biathlon World Cup circuit.

In his new role, Schommer will play an integral part in developing and supporting programming at Ariens Nordic Center. He will work with youth of all ages and skill levels, while focusing not only on biathlon, but many outdoor sports and recreational activities to promote healthy active lifestyles in our community.
