The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the death of a worker Dec 5 at Konz Wood Products.
Francis Wolfinger died of injuries sustained while working at the Grand Chute pallet maker.
Konz said in a statement: “In the early morning hours of Dec. 5, 2023, a long-term and valuable member of the Konz team lost his life due to an industrial accident. The company and all of its employees wish to express their deepest condolences to the family. All employees have been offered the opportunity to receive grief counseling through the company EAP provider.”
The company, founded in 1903, supplies pallets and wood shipping and packaging materials. It employes approximately 90 people.
