Oshkosh Arena, home of the Milwaukee Bucks G-League franchise Wisconsin Herd, is for sale. Fox Valley Pro Basketball, which owns the arena, has retained Young America Capital, SFR Realty and Main Line Executive Realty to manage the sale, which was listed today on the commercial real estate website LoopNet.
The arena, built in 2017, hosts 24 Wisconsin Herd games each year, as well as concerts and other events. According to the listing document, the arena’s current leasing arrangement with the Herd extends until 2026, with potential to extend the term until 2028 and beyond. The arena has also secured a 10-year agreement with a facility management firm.
Greg Pierce, president of Fox Valley Pro Basketball, released a statement saying the management company raised the property’s profile: “This upgrade will translate into a higher profile event schedule for the community and integrate the Oshkosh metropolitan area into the national entertainment scene,” he said. “As this transformation is taking place the time is right for new ownership to step in to take the Arena to the next level.”
Oshkosh City Manager Mark Rohloff told Wisconsin Public Radio that the city sees the arena as the “anchor” of Oshkosh’s Sawdust District.
“This represents a great opportunity to re-envision what the potential for the arena can be to make the entire Sawdust District a successful entertainment and residential venue for the city of Oshkosh,” Rohloff told WPR.
