Criminal charges have been filed against an Oshkosh man accused of theft by contractor and fraud. after investigators found multiple construction projects

Jesse Van Boxtel, owner of Millennium construction, allegedly used money earmarked for construction projects in multiple counties to make lavish purchases for himself, according to WLUK.

Van Boxtel faces four counts of theft by contractor of more than $100,000, one count of wire fraud and one count of loan fraud.

The theft by contractor charges stem from work done for Black Otter Supper Club, Camp Zion in Door County, Woodstock Village and Duck Creek Landing. According to the criminal complaint, Van Boxtel failed to pay subcontractors, diverted money from one project to another and used some of the funds for personal and unrelated business expenses. The business owners began receiving construction leins.

In addition, the complaint alleges that Von Boxtel used the company bank account to help secure mortgage loans for a home in Oshkosh on Lake Winnebago and a year later for a home in Hawaii valued at more than $4.5 million.
