Thrivent Financial named Teresa Rasmussen as the new president of its core fraternal business as part of a recent organizational realignment. Rasmussen is the first woman to hold this office in Thrivent’s 113-year history. She most recently served as Thrivent’s senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. The fraternal organization announced several other leadership appointments: Jim Thomsen, president of Thrivent Holdings; Christopher Kopka, president of Thrivent Church Services Group; Terry Timm, promoted to chief people and administrative officer; Randy Boushek will continue to serve as the organization’s chief financial officer; and Russell Swansen will continue as chief investment officer.

NOVO Health, consisting of Orthopedic & Sports Institute of the Fox Valley, Neuroscience Group, NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin and Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology, announced Bob Zuleger as its vice president-business development. Zuleger will focus on strategic growth initiatives with an emphasis on the development of relationships with self-insured businesses interested in reducing medical costs.

St. Norbert College President Thomas Kunkel announced he will leave his post May 31, 2017, after completing nine years in the position. Kunkel says the decision was made for both family reasons and his desire to accomplish additional life goals. During his tenure, Kunkel has overseen the construction and renovation of more than $100 million in campus facilities and infrastructure, as well as record levels of enrollment.

Dr. George E. MacKinnon has been named founding dean of the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy. MacKinnon currently serves as founding dean, professor of pharmacy and vice provost for health sciences at Roosevelt University’s College of Pharmacy in Chicago. MacKinnon will create the collaborative relationships with MCW’s clinical partners, as well as strive to achieve financial viability for the program.

Wipfli LLP announced Lisa Cribben, a partner in the firm’s Green Bay office, has been appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Forensic and Valuation Services Executive Committee for the 2015-2016 year.

Erin M. DeGroot joined the Breast Cancer Family Foundation as its new executive director.

Choice Bank promoted Chad Miller to commercial loan officer. Miller started his banking career with Choice Bank as a credit intern.

The Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation promoted Erin Sutton to director of outreach and business services. The corporation also hired Kimberly Maedke as the office and research coordinator.

Valley VNA Senior Services named Tammy Malewski as its marketing and fund development director.

BrandDirections hired Kara Lichtenberg as an account manager and brand strategist.

Candeo Creative promoted Gabrielle Lulloff to senior creative strategist for the strategy and research department.

The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley promoted Dubear Kroening, Kim Schatz, Susan Rabideau and Terri Gonya from associate to full professors.

Element Creative added three new members to its team: Molly Wentworth, as a receptionist/account assistant; Rachel Mueller, as a content marketing specialist; and Aaron Graff as art director.

Miron Construction Co. Inc. added five employees to its corporate headquarters staff: Tara Hernandez, Dave Barrow and Anthony Foster as project managers; Stephanie Tyink as a marketing assistant; and Sarah Mischka as an industrial administrative assistant.

Dane Vanden Heuvel has joined Cornerstone Business Services as a client accounts manager.

Fond du Lac Works, a division of the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce, added two new staff members: Kim Spartz, director of educational partnerships; and Nicole Yeomans, director of educational programs.

Susan Smith, VP of Human Resources at Investors Community Bank, joined the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc County.

Laura Johnson-Lachowecki, a 2012 graduate of Fox Valley Technical College’s Culinary Arts and Hotel & Restaurant Management programs, won the American Culinary Federation Pastry Chef of the Year award during the ACF’s annual Cook. Craft. Create. National Convention.

H.J. Martin and Son hired Sara Yach for its fixtures division as a project coordinator.

Rob Wachholz, an independent financial advisor and a principal of Wisconsin401k, was recognized by The Financial Times as a 2015 Top 401k Retirement Plan Advisor.

KerberRose S.C. hired Janice M. Socha as a senior accountant.

Kohler Co. announced pastry chef Josh Johnson has joined Destination Kohler as head pastry chef. Johnson will collaborate with Anette Righi DeFendi, head chocolatier for KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates, in an effort to continue growing that business.

Jim Sommer, president of Service Motor Company, received the 2015 Technical Education Champion award from the Wisconsin Technical College System District Boards Association for his leadership and contribution to technical education and training. Sommer’s business has served Fox Valley Technical College’s Agriculture programs hands-on education for more than 40 years.

Michael J. Schlagenhaufer joined ACUITY in the newly created role of manufacturing business segment specialist.

Investors Community Bank hired several new employees: Katelin Haglund, agriculture credit manager; Danice Rietbrock, client services specialist; Lauren Kostello, agriculture credit analyst; Rachel Schulz, human resources coordinator; and Paul Neuser, business courier.

Tweet/Garot Mechanical, Inc. announced three staff additions: Mary Kay Zimmerman, project coordinator in the commercial HVAC and plumbing department; Jacob Dobbratz, project manager in the Green Bay service department; and Jeff Blohowiak, plumbing estimator in the Green Bay offices.

Schenck SC announced Rick Balzan joined the firm as a senior human resources consultant.

CMD Corporation announced several new hires: Amy Hacker-Ott, technical writer; Bill Bundy, shipping and inventory control specialist; Teri Bolssen, accounting assistant; Garrett LaBerge, associate manufacturing engineer; Trevor Lind, customer service and parts sales coordinator; Jim Gorring, CNC machinist; and Lisa Lemm-Koester, OPC coordinator. CMD also promoted Harry Van Lith to machine upgrade sales specialist and Ian Kling to CNG service supervisor.

Stellar Blue hired four new employees: Mason Sterr, as a project strategist; Craig Hansen as a multimedia marketing assistant; Andy Hablewitz, as a web developer; and Jason Flyte as a web developer.

McMAHON announced several new additions to its staff of engineers, architects and project managers at the firm’s headquarters in Neenah: Garek Holley, environmental scientist; Maxwell Lesatz, structural drafter; Courtney Williams, CAD technician; Shawn Jandrey, stormwater engineer; Scott Manteuffel, project manager; and Steven Vaccaro, electrical engineer. The company also announced three new associates: Stuart Boerst, hydrogeologist; Mick Magalski, project engineer; and Lee Reibold, project engineer.

Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group announced several new agents:  Cathy Drews, Amy Steier, Sarah Buckoski and Kathy Schumann to its John Street office, Appleton.

ThedaCare added new physicians to its staff: Dr. Fatima Ali, a family medicine physician, joined the group at ThedaCare Physicians-Neenah East; Dr. Jasleen K. Randhawa joined the group at ThedaCare Cancer Care as a hematologist and oncologist; Dr. Yadira Rafuls, an obstetrician and gynecologist, joined the group at the Kaldas Center for Fertilty, Surgery & Pregnancy; and Dr. Yasin Syed, a hospitalist, joined the group at Appleton Medical Center. Dr. Donald Menya joined the medical staff of Theda Clark Medical Center as an obstetrician and gynecologist at the Kaldas Center for Fertility, Surgery & Pregnancy. Dr. Adam Olson, a board-certified family medicine physician, will begin practice at ThedaCare Physicians-Darboy.

Dr. Jamie Schmidt joined the staff of Primary Care Associates of Appleton as a family medicine physician.

Agnesian Healthcare announced several new physicians and staff members joined the healthcare organization: Dr. Adam Liss, a radiation oncologist, joined the group at Agnesian Cancer Center in Fond du Lac; Dr. Elizabeth Strittmatter, a family medicine physician, joined the group at Fond du Lac regional clinic; Dr. Erika Peterson, a perinatologist, joined the group at St. Agnes Hospital’s Women & Infants Unit; Dr. James Cauley, a urologist, joined the group at the  Fond du Lac Regional Clinic; Dr. Cresta Jones, a maternal fetal medicine specialist, joined the group at St. Agnes Hospital’s Women & Infants Unit; and Dr. Amena Nazeer, a hospitalist, joined the group at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health presented Dr. YuChin Fang its Max Fox Preceptor Award. She is a family doctor at ThedaCare Physicians-Clintonville.

Prevea Health announced three physicians have joined its adult cardiology services at St. Nicholas Health Center in Sheboygan: Dr. Mercy Chandrasekaran, Dr. Jose Iturrizaga and Dr. Charles Laham.

Michael Sewell, manager of the Green Bay office of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group, Inc., received the Wisconsin Realtors Association Instructor of the Year award.

The Green Bay-based Employee Resource Center hired Allyson Baue as its director of training and development.

Amy Sell began her term as president-elect of the Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers on Oct 1. Sell begins her term as president in October 2016.

Marty Lehman, an associate with Badger Mining Corp., Berlin, was elected president of The Wisconsin Industrial Sand Association for 2015-16.

Manitowoc-based Bank First announced the following promotions: Rebecca Harrison to Bank Secrecy Act and compliance officer, and Paul Schermetzler to security officer and Bank Secrecy Act specialist.

The board of directors of the Volunteer Center of Door County announced Carrie Tjernagel as the center’s new executive director.
