Lori Sealock, recently named president of Eagle Performance Plastics, joins co-hosts Ann Franz of the NEW Manufacturing Alliance and Kate Bruns of Insight on Manufacturing on this week’s new episode of the NEW Manufacturing Insights podcast, sponsored by Werner Electric Supply.
Sealock, who has been with the custom job shop for going on 24 years, talks with Bruns and Franz about the company’s succession planning, her new role and the vision for the company going forward.
“We’re focused on setting the next generation up for success, which means making sure they have the right people, the right tools, the right environment to do that,” Sealock says. “They need a strong foundation to keep building on Eagle’s values and the growth strategy that we have.”
Named among Insight Publications’ 2024 Wisconsin Best Places to Work in Manufacturing, Eagle Performance Plastics’ vision remains centered on its growth journey, Sealock says.
“We’re excited about where we’re headed,” she says. That includes continuing to expand sales, the company’s customer base, and looking into untapped markets. “But equally as important, we’re focused on being a great place to work … it’s all investing in people.”
That includes continuing with programs like youth apprenticeships. The company hosts two to five student workers each year.
“We really believe that manufacturing is the backbone of Northeast Wisconsin and it helps support our communities, it certainly helps the economy a great deal,” Sealock says. “We just really want to kids to see that manufacturing jobs are not the same jobs as when my parents told us about manufacturing.”
