Kelly Bubolz of New North-based KB Training Connections joins co-hosts Kate Bruns and Ann Franz on this week’s episode of the NEW Manufacturing Insights podcast to talk about the experience of burnout in the manufacturing industry.
Bubolz started her business after experiencing burnout herself, forcing her to give up her career in 2021.
“My body slowly started to shut down; I just could not keep up,” Bubolz says of life in a high-powered career while raising three kids.
Today she works with companies and individuals on stress management, time management, and teambuilding techniques that help combat burnout. She says that investment in training, development and good old-fashioned fun are among the solutions in the manufacturing sector.
“In manufacturing, we have been built to be adaptable and we are the changemakers and innovators of the world, so if anything we are most equipped for this type of world,” Bubolz tells Bruns and Franz on this week’s episode. “But we have stopped having fun.”
