Chris Fuss of Ashwaubenon-based Titletown Manufacturing joins co-hosts Kate Bruns and Ann Franz on this week’s episode of the NEW Manufacturing Insights podcast to talk about the business of CNC machining, including an explanation of the difference between “job shops” and “production shops,” the biggest challenges and opportunities in the trade he has been involved with since age 16, and the impact of Industry 4.0 at Titletown Manufacturing, formerly known as Precision Tool & Dye.
This episode, along with all other July and August episodes of NEW Manufacturing Insights, is sponsored by The Boldt Company.
Fuss says the industry overall hasn’t changed dramatically since his business started in 2009, but Industry 4.0 is a major focus for Titletown Manufacturing going forward, including robots, smart controls, and updated ERP systems.
“My mind’s always out in left field thinking about this, that or the other thing that would make us better, so I’m starting to pay more attention to AI [and] what other opportunities are out there that would make us better,” Fuss tells the co-hosts.
