And while the revolution overall can feel overwhelming at times, Abuali says, there are tools and resources available for manufacturers to embrace Industry 4.0 in practical and strategic as opposed to scattershot ways.

“Have an approach to think big,” Abuali urges listeners. “We can’t just be focused on what we do; we have to think big and really create a digital strategy. So think big, start small. Start piloting those solutions in the right way and make sure the digital maturity is there.”
