2024 Manufacturing First keynote speaker Steve Jones of Jadin Jones Consulting joins co-hosts Kate Bruns and Ann Franz on this week’s episode of the NEW Manufacturing Insights podcast. A 20-year veteran of the teaching profession, Jones famously guided Kimberly High School to five straight state football championships as head coach before penning the book “The Twin Thieves: How Great Leaders Build Great Teams” and founding Jadin Jones with Lucas Jadin.

And while you can take the teacher out of the classroom or off the football field, Jones still views education as his full-time job, he says.

“I don’t necessarily view myself as a motivational speaker; I view myself as an educator, coach and teacher,” he tells the co-hosts on this week’s episode, adding that he sees coaching business leaders and high school football players as more alike than different.

Jones’ Oct. 30 keynote at the Resch Expo in Green Bay is, however, expected to be motivational to attendees. Early-bird registration for Wisconsin’s largest manufacturing event, which includes your opportunity to hear Jones’ address, ends Saturday at manufacturingfirst.com. Jones is slated to deliver the keynote address “Developing Leaders Who Grow a Winning Culture” at 8 a.m.

“I think Manufacturing First is the premier event in the state; I really do,” Jones says on this week’s podcast, adding that he is honored to follow in the footsteps of his friend and mentor Bob Chapman, whom Jones heard speak at Manufacturing First in 2018.
