Jeff Berg, board chair of the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance, joined co-hosts Ann Franz of NEWMA and Kate Bruns of Insight on Manufacturing magazine on this week’s episode of the NEW Manufacturing Insights podcast.
Berg is vice president of operations with Voith Paper in Appleton, where he oversees nine North American manufacturing plants serving as a “full line supplier for the paper industry.”
He says he is honored to serve as NEWMA chair, and is particularly excited this year about the organization’s new initiatives around safety and Industry 4.0. His biggest goals as chair align closely with NEWMA’s vision, he says.
“Our goal and our vision is to have all manufacturers find the talent they need. Although we’re competing for talent, we know people need to grow in their careers. We also know that it’s gonna benefit the communities, it’s gonna benefit Wisconsin, and it’s gonna help us grow,” Berg told the co-hosts.
NEW Manufacturing Insights is possible thanks to NEWMA, IOM, production support from Woodward Community Media and sponsors. All May long, the podcast is sponsored by Wintrust Commercial Banking at Town Bank, N.A., Wisconsin’s Bank for Business.
