Local news about the companies, people and issues that impact business in Northeast Wisconsin and beyond.

This week’s episode of the NEW Manufacturing Insights podcast features an interview with Pheonah Kisembo and Hilary Haskell from the nonprofit organization Hope and Help Together, which works to support immigrant and refugee populations by facilitating resources and relationships in Northeast Wisconsin. Also joining the show is Insight on Business editor Amelia Compton Wolff, who penned the January 2025 IOM feature story “Going global,” which focuses on the topic of hiring immigrants and refugees to strengthen manufacturing operations in Northeast Wisconsin.

Kisembo, Haskell and Compton-Wolff join co-hosts Ann Franz of the NEW Manufacturing Alliance and Kate Bruns of Insight on Manufacturing to dive deeper into the story, as well as the story of the organization’s history and mission and why Hope and Help Together was inspired to launch the Fox Valley Newcomer Project in 2022.

This February’s episodes of NEW Manufacturing Insights are sponsored by Wisconsin Public Service.

NEW Manufacturing Insights is distributed by Spreaker and available anywhere you get podcasts; new episodes are released on Thursdays.
