The Packers Community Fence, a landmark on Lombardi Avenue directly across from Lambeau Field, will transform into a one-of-a-kind mural featuring 100 fan portraits for the NFL Draft in April.
Each portrait is available for purchase at $1,000, with all proceeds benefiting three Green Bay charities:
- GRIT920 – Providing adaptive strength and fitness training for individuals with disabilities.
- Freedom House – Offering shelter, resources, and support to homeless families.
- 23’s Cause 4 Cleats – Supplying underserved youth with quality sports equipment to help them succeed on and off the field.
This initiative aims to raise $100,000 while providing fans with an opportunity to be permanently painted onto the iconic fence. The portraits will be illustrated by artist Craig Nordeen and painted onto the fence by Zane Statz, ensuring a stunning, high-quality tribute to those who participate.
Statz is a mural artist and designer. His work includes the “Let Us Love One Another” mural in Green Bay and the “Colorful Flower” mural in Fond du Lac’s Franklin Park along with over 50 other murals throughout the Midwest.
Nordeen is a creative director, illustrator, designer, and motion artist with a diverse portfolio spanning children’s, sports, and brand illustrations. His work reflects a dynamic range of styles and subjects, showcasing his versatility and passion for visual storytelling. Craig’s expertise in both static
and motion art allows him to create engaging and memorable visuals that resonate with audiences
across various platforms.
This project builds on the tradition of interactive art at the Packers Community Fence. Since 2022, the
fence has hosted an annual Packers-themed mural, including a paint-by-numbers event before the
season opener. Last year, 500 fans completed the 70ft by 6th mural in just nine hours, showcasing
the excitement and community spirit surrounding this project.
A New Draft Tradition, Kicking It Off
With the 2025 NFL Draft coming to Green Bay, this initiative is expected to attract national attention.
The fence painting will begin in early April, and all 100 portraits will be completed before the NFL
Draft begins, ensuring maximum visibility for fans and visitors arriving in Green Bay.
The mural will remain on display until four weeks before the Packers’ 2025 regular season opener,
making it a lasting tribute to the fans who make the NFL community so special.
