Progress Lakeshore, in collaboration with the Small Business Development Center, will offer a spring Entrepreneurial Training Program.
The popularity of the organization’s ETP courses held each fall drove the decision to offer the course twice in 2025.
The spring 2025 program will run on Wednesdays, from March 5 to April 30 with sessions held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Progress Lakeshore’s office, 202 N. 8th St, Suite 101, Manitowoc. There will be no class April 23 due to the NFL Draft week.
The Entrepreneurial Training Program equips participants with the tools and knowledge needed to build a comprehensive business plan that will serve as a roadmap for their startup or expansion. Led by expert instructors and featuring insights from local guest speakers, the course is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs eager to launch a business, current business owners looking to optimize their operations, and established entrepreneurs seeking strategies for growth.
During the course, participants will define their target market, identify customer needs, and create strategies for launching or growing their business. Participants will also gain insights into financial management, including interpreting financial statements and exploring funding options to support their entrepreneurial journey.
Applicants to the program can apply for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Entrepreneur Training Grant, which covers $750 of the $1,000 course fee. Additionally, the Progress Lakeshore Foundation will offer a limited number of $200 scholarships, bringing the cost down to $50 for qualified applicants.
