Fond du Lac economic development agencies announce merger
The Fond du Lac Association of Commerce and the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corp. have agreed to pursue a merger into a single economic development entity.
A steering committee of public and private sector leaders will be formed immediately to drive and oversee the reorganization process. This committee will engage a recruitment firm to begin the search for a CEO for the new organization.
Current AC and FCEDC staff and boards of directors will continue to take shape.

Winsert leader wins national award for entrepreneurship
Trisha Lemery, president and CEO of Marinette-based Winsert, Inc., has been awarded the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2016 National Category Winner in the family business category.
Winsert, a global provider of innovative alloy solutions, is a second home for Lemery. For more than two decades, she has been an integral part of the team, working her way up from high school on the shop floor to being elevated to president and CEO in 2008.
After winning EYโs Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 Midwest award in the manufacturing and basic industries category, Lemery went on to compete with hundreds of leaders from across the country for the national Entrepreneur of the Year title that recognizes leaders and visionaries who demonstrate innovative, financial success and personal commitment as they create and build world-class businesses.

Shawano foundation reports expanded endowmentย
The Shawano Area Community Foundation will take on its next 25 years with more resources for civic improvements.
As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, the foundation reported its endowment grew by $2.7 million during the 2015-16 fiscal year, which brings its total assets to $7.3 million, strengthening its ability to raise funds on investments for supporting various nonprofit causes in the area.
