Rehlko to close Wisconsin plant laying off 66

Rehlko is closing its Saukville plant laying off 66 people by the end of the year, according to a letter sent to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

The letter states that layoffs will begin in August and be completed by Dec. 31.

Rehlko became a stand alone business in May 2024 when Platinum Equity completed a transaction with Kohler Company to obtain a majority stake in Kohler Energy. The business then rebbranded as Rehlko.

Rehlko operates a broad portfolio of businesses including power systems, engines, uninterruptible power, home energy, Clarke Energy, Curtis Instruments, and Heila Technologies.

Headquartered in Wisconsin, Rehlko has operations in more than 100 locations across the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
