Road America selected Louie Gentine as chairman of the board following the resignation of Ron Pace during a recent board of director’s meeting.
“I am honored to take on this new role and continue the incredible legacy of leadership at Road America,” said Gentine. “Ron has set an extraordinary example, and I look forward to building upon the strong foundation he has established while working alongside the board to shape an exciting future for this iconic venue.”
Gentine will serve as acting chair until the end of the year and officially assume the role Jan. 1. Gentine, a longtime supporter of Road America is chairman and CEO of Sargento Foods Inc., Plymouth.
Gentine’s extensive experience includes leadership roles across marketing, production, and procurement, where he has driven strategic initiatives and operational excellence. His tenure at Sargento has been marked by significant achievements, including implementing a three-year strategic planning process and the successful expansion of the company’s business units: Consumer Products and Food Service & Ingredients.
He serves on the boards of various organizations, including the International Dairy Foods Association, Lakeside Foods, and a longstanding tenure at Road America.
