New hires

Fox World Travel, Oshkosh, announced its partnership with former travel management company executive and 40-year travel industry veteran Tim Fleming, who will serve as strategic growth advisor. Fleming retired as president of Corporate Travel Management, NA in 2021.

Hurckman Mechanical Industries announced several new hires, including Jameson Bardowski as a new construction project manager, Julia Major as a human resources assistant, Zachary Gegare as a BIM drafter and Britney LoCasto as a project coordinator. In addition, Jacob Liebers has been promoted to chief operations officer.

Berners Schober welcomed several new employees to its Green Bay and Springfield, Illinois offices. Added in Green Bay were Tim Schuettpelz as senior electrical engineer, Burt Greuel and Melanie Ferron as BIM/CAD specialists, and Andy Rossi as field representative.

Acuity has added four director-level employees: Bridget Jobe joins as director – IT governance and risk management; Bryan Seiter joins as regional market director; Becky Tuma joins as director – employee development and learning; and Ryan Wessels joins as director – cyber security. 

Kohler Co. announced the appointment of Megan Belcher as chief legal officer and corporate secretary. Belcher will report to chair and CEO David Kohler. She will oversee all global legal, compliance, assurance and advisory, and security matters.

Layla Merrifield has been named the next president of the Wisconsin Technical College System. She succeeds Morna Foy, who announced her retirement this spring after leading WTCS for 12 years.

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers announced Lynn Sukowand Lucas Scheier have joined the Midwest League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Sukow is the new banquet sales and event manager. Scheier is the new assistant director of grounds.

Oshkosh Corporation hired Angela Ambrose as vice president of government operations to lead global public policy. In addition, William Burns, chief executive officer of Zebra Technologies Corporation, has been appointed to the board of directors of Oshkosh Corp.

Capital Credit Union hired Jenefer Kind as senior vice president of operations. Kind comes to Capital Credit Union with more than 20 years of experience leading bank and credit union operations, most recently at Fox Communities Credit Union. 

McMahon, a full‑service, professional engineering and architectural firm, announced the hiring of Kaylene Doss as a water resource engineer, Hannah Insko as a water/wastewater specialist, Ben Jones as a municipal and civil engineer, Rich Lewandowski as a construction services project manager, Josh Rieck as a structural engineer and Wally Sedlar as an environmental project manager.

Keller, Inc., a design/build general contractor with offices in the Fox Cities, Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau, has added new team members at its Kaukauna location: Gage Stahmann as a steel shop craftsman, Sam Waite as a carpentry craftsman, and Cody Paulsen, Liam Ullmer, Lucas Milheiser and Gavin Vander Velden as building craftsmen.

Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists has added Peter Eggert, a sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon, and Jack Leschke, a dual board-certified spine surgeon, to its team in Neenah and Oshkosh.

Envision Greater Fond du Lac has hired Michael Rhode as membership coordinator. Prior to joining the team at Envision Greater Fond du Lac, he held a number of roles within Grande Cheese, the most recent being operations manager in Lomira. 

Terese Schoffelman has been hired as associate vice president of communications and marketing at Lawrence University.

Endowment Wealth Management hired Ben Gilkay as a wealth analyst.

McCarty Law LLP, Appleton, welcomed Jacquelyn Adamicki to its litigation practice, Katrina Hochholzer to its estate planning and elder law practice, and Anika Van Rossum to its business and corporate law practice.

Nick Salm has joined NAI Pfefferle as a senior commercial real estate advisor in Appleton.

Promotions

Menasha Corporation announced Tina M. Seashore has been named executive vice president and chief human resources officer. Seashore had been vice president of human resources at Menasha Packaging Company, a subsidiary of Menasha Corporation, since 2022. Prior to joining Menasha Packaging Company, Seashore held leadership roles in human resources at Oshkosh Corporation and Bemis Company, Inc. (now Amcor). 

Long-time employee Tracy Plamann has accepted the role of chief executive officer for Harbor House Domestic & Sexual Violence Center. Her career at Harbor House began as an intern in September 2004. Since then, she has served as a children’s and family advocate, community education coordinator and, most recently, director of programs. 

Fox Communities Credit Union has promoted Andrew Opicka to assistant vice president of IT – information security and risk. Opicka has worked in various information security positions before coming to work at Fox in 2020.

The Greater Green Bay Chamber promoted Lisa Jossart to vice president of economic development. Jossart joined the chamber as the business retention and expansion manager in April 2023. Additionally, Matt Rentmeester was hired as vice president of talent and education.

Doug Dulin has assumed the role of vice president of strategy for The Boldt Group. Dulin joined Boldt in 2020 and most recently served as vice president of operational excellence. Terry Owens was named senior director of self perform. Additionally, The Boldt Group has named Will Lichtig as its chief innovation officer. Lichtig most recently served as The Boldt Company’s chief of staff. Klas Berghede will take on the newly created role of vice president of innovation. Berghede has more than 17 years’ experience with Boldt, previously serving as vice president of modular and integrated construction.

The Wisconsin Herd recently promoted Jesse Smith to director of ticket sales and service, Trevor Kroll to director of group sales, Jamie Winsted to public relations and community relations manager, and Mallory Knight to senior graphic designer.

KerberRose announced Michael Matuszak as the new managing shareholder. He is taking over this role from Erik Bunnell. Matuszak has been with KerberRose since 2015 and in public accounting since 2011, with another eight years of private accounting prior.

Secura Insurance promoted three company leaders: Mike Campbell, vice president – specialty lines underwriting; Sarah Endter, vice president – underwriting services; and Kevin Klestinski, senior vice president and chief underwriting officer. 

David Weiss became the director of donor services with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and Hope Schaefer has been promoted to executive director of the Nonprofit Leadership Initiative.

Awards

Dyson Nunn, an SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital emergency department charge registered nurse, was recognized by the Milwaukee Brewers as the “Hero of the Game” July 11. In addition, Karmen Voigt, an emergency room registered nurse, was recently recognized as a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses winner at SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital.

Board appointments

Gov. Tony Evers appointed Pamela Boivin to the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation board of directors. Boivin serves as executive director of Woodland Financial Partners, Inc., a federally-certified Native community development financial institution. She also serves as chairwoman of the Wisconsin Indigenous Economic Development Corporation and has served on the Governor’s Blue-Ribbon Commission on Rural Prosperity and the Governor’s Green-Ribbon Commission on Clean Energy and Environmental Innovation.

Michael Schumacher, commercial project manager with Keller, Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors for the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts.

Education

The board of directors of Sheboygan Lutheran High School announced Matthew Tschudy has been selected as its next executive director.

The American Association of Community Colleges named three Lakeshore Technical College vice presidents to AACC commissions. Tanya Boman, vice president of student success, was named to the Commission on Student Success. Kristy Liphart, vice president of institutional advancement, was named to the Commission on Small and Rural Colleges. Heidi Soodsma, vice president of strategic development, was named to the Commission on Research and Community College Trends and Issues.

College of Menominee Nation President Christopher Caldwell has assumed the chairperson position of NEWERA, an organization made up of the senior leadership of the seven public colleges and universities located in Northeast Wisconsin.

Heather Butterfield, assistant vice president for human resources at St. Norbert College, has been selected to serve as chair of the Midwest region board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for the 2024-25 fiscal year. Her term began on July 1.

Transitions

After 40 years, Dave Scheuer has retired from Berners Schober. The longest-tenured member of staff at the time of his retirement, Scheuer joined the company as an architectural drafter in 1984 and transitioned into the role of field representative in 2015.

Mary Perry, the Wisconsin Economic Development Association president and chief executive officer, retired in August. She has held the position since January 2021. Kathryn Berger will act as interim president and CEO.

Great Northern announced that Mark Radue, current chief financial officer, will retire Feb. 15 and Brad Raaths was appointed as the new chief financial officer. Before Great Northern, Raaths was with DeWitt LLP in Madison. While with DeWitt, Raaths served as general counsel to Great Northern. At DeWitt he served as president of the firm from 2011-2014.
