Bank First Corporation, the holding company of Bank First, will acquire Centre 1 Bancorp, Inc., parent company of The First National Bank and Trust Company, a nationally chartered bank based in Beloit. Bank First has agreed to acquire 100% of the common stock of Centre in an all-stock transaction.

Road America and Motul announced a multi-year partnership that will see Motul become the new Official Motor Oil & Lubricant and title sponsor of the annual IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event weekend and a new landmark sponsor of the Turn 9 bridge.

The Chamber of Manitowoc County launched a new professional development series, 20 Tenets of Culture, designed to help local employers strengthen their workplace cultures and upskill their employees in essential soft skills.

Greysteel successfully refinanced the Hilton Garden Inn Green Bay, a recently renovated, 125-key, select-service hotel in the Lambeau Field Stadium District. Developed in 2000 by Beechwood Hotel Group, the property has been owned and operated by the group for more than 20 years. The $14.91 million First Perm Loan was provided by Fox Communities Credit Union.

The Center-Uniting Mind, Body, and Spirit opened a new location at 96 S. National Avenue, Fond du Lac, in collaboration with Marian University.

Gunderson Inc. intends to move its laundry facility in downtown Menasha to Neenah’s Southpark Industrial Center, according to terms of an agreement with the city of Neenah. Gunderson is proposing to invest $10 million to construct a new 75,000-square-foot building on a 13-acre site that would provide room for expansion.

ThedaCare acquired the Wisconsin Institute of Urology, the largest independent urology practice in Wisconsin.

Prevea Health opened the Prevea Orthopedic Walk-In Injury Clinic within HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, 1726 Shawano Ave. in Green Bay.

Vault 202 Brewery opened at 202 W. College Ave., Appleton.

Allegiant Travel Company announced a nonstop route between Appleton International Airport and Fort Myers, Florida.

Alliance Laundry Systems, Ripon, acquired the distribution assets of Metropolitan Laundry Machinery Sales in South Richmond Hill, New York.

JR Machine acquired ETW Inc., a Waukesha-based company specializing in 5-axis machining, custom tooling and engineering services.

Air Wisconsin landed a $10.8 million Essential Air Service Contract from the U.S. Department of Transportation to provide subsidized service between Parkersburg, West Virginia and Marietta, Ohio.

Winsert, an advanced manufacturer of specialty alloys, acquired Mack Tool & Engineering, a precision machining company headquartered in South Bend, Indiana.

Valley Transit, the public transportation service in the Fox Cities, launched its new payment system Aug. 1. WisGo, powered by Umo, allows riders to pay their fares using either a mobile app or a reloadable card.


Construction

Keller, Inc. is the architect, general contractor and builder on a 3,700-square-foot addition and a 3,500-square-foot renovation building project for Scheske Family Dental in Little Chute and a 18,000-square-foot facility for Closet 1 Interiors in Greenville.

McMahon, a full-service professional engineering, architectural and consulting firm, in partnership with general contractor Bayland Buildings, is part of an 11,400-square-foot expansion of the village of Harrison municipal garage.

Bayland Buildings completed a 41,448-square-foot extension at Country Villa Assisted Living, Omro. This two‑story expansion features 38 rooms, an elevator for easy accessibility, a kitchen and a full bar area. Bayland is also completing a 23,400-square-foot remodel for Transport Refrigeration in Oak Creek and a 16,750-square-foot steel manufacturing addition for KI in Bonduel.

Renaissance by Rennes–Appleton, 301 E. Florida St., broke ground on a renovation and expansion project.

McShane Construction Co.’s Wisconsin regional team was selected by Volker Development to build Kelly Station, a 76-unit affordable housing residence in Madison.

Construction began on the TownePlace Suites by Marriott on the former Shopko site in downtown De Pere.


Awards

RMG/Lawton Anniston, a division of The Lawton Standard Co., has been awarded the 2025 International Diamond Supplier Award by International Motors.

Professional Plating Inc., Brillion, has been named a 2025 Products Finishing Top Shop, based on results from this year’s benchmarking survey.

Jewelers Mutual has been named to Ward’s 50 Top-Performing Insurance Companies List for the 15th consecutive year.

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. was named one of America’s Best Midsize Companies for the second consecutive year by TIME magazine.

ThedaCare has earned reaccreditation as a Chest Pain Center with Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Resuscitation. The medical center’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab earned a similar reaccreditation. The reaccreditations came from the American College of Cardiology. The ThedaCare Bariatric Surgery Program has again earned distinction as a center of excellence from the Clinical Sciences Institute of Optum. ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton recently earned gold and silver national quality achievement awards respectively for their stroke care.

Touchmark on West Prospect was recognized as a Pulse Champion of Young Professionals by the Fox Cities Chamber. In addition, Miron Construction Co., Inc. has been certified as a platinum-level Employee Friendly Workplace by the Fox Cities Chamber.

Above and Beyond Children’s Museum received an anonymous $100,000 donation. The gift will support the museum’s 2025-26 budgets allowing for extended evening hours, pilot programs for families who have children with disabilities and “Play is Healing” extensions.


Grants

The Women’s Fund of Door County announced a new grant opportunity of up to $30,000 for one year available to eligible nonprofit organizations serving Door County. It will target programs that use a unique approach to address critical health issues, including health care access, mental health and public health services.

The Grey Muzzle Organization has awarded a grant to Oshkosh Area Humane Society for the care of older dogs.

Tweet Garot Mechanical co-invested with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation in a Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition pilot program for 10 households.

SSM Health donated $40,000 to Marian University for the Working Families Grant, which provides financial assistance and support services to low‑income, single parents earning their bachelor’s degrees. SSM Health also gave $8,050 to The Arc Fond du Lac, $10,000 to the Charis Pregnancy & Family Help Center and $1,000 to support the Ripon Public Library’s Memory Café. SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital donated 39 gently used patient beds to Moraine Park Technical College and Marian University for use in training nursing students.

The Wisconsin Bankers Association provided a $10,000 grant to Bay Bank of Green Bay. The grant funds will be used toward the cost of developing a written strategic plan for the Wisconsin Native Homeowners Coalition.

The Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau awarded a $9,500 Tourism Development Grant to help fund a kayak rental station for the Neenah Parks & Recreation Department at Arrowhead Park.

Radio station 105.7 WAPL raised $1,800 for the Wisconsin Parkinson Association.

Unity received a $30,000 grant from Otto Bremer Trust to expand palliative, hospice and grief support services for pediatric patients and their families.

Together Green Bay announced Her Alliance as the recipient of the $5,000 2025 Collaborative Catalyst Award sponsored by Team Stimpson Real Estate Group and Thrivent.


Education

Tweet Garot Mechanical, De Pere, held its second annual Heavy Metal Summer Experience to introduce 20 high school students to careers in mechanical, sheet metal and electrical construction.

Essity awarded a total of $21,000 in scholarships to Fox Cities students.

Moraine Park Technical College received the full eight-year accreditation award from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.

The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Lakeshore College a federal TRIO Student Support Services grant totaling $1.36 million to improve college retention and graduation rates among low‑income students, first-generation students and students with disabilities.
