She Leads, an initiative dedicated to supporting high school girls through leadership development and confidence-building programming, has officially rebranded as The Lucella Project.

Founded in 2024, the organization has grown from a single conference into a year-round initiative focused on equipping young women with the tools, confidence, and community needed to navigate leadership, identity, and personal growth.

“As we’ve grown, it became clear that we needed a name that more personally reflects the heart behind this work,” said Vicki Updike, Founder of The Lucella Project. “The Lucella Project is inspired by my daughter and nieces—young women navigating today’s challenges in their own unique ways. It represents the kind of space we’re building for every girl: one where she can discover who she is, feel a true sense of belonging, and step forward with confidence.”

A core component of The Lucella Project’s work is its no-cost workshop program for schools and youth organizations, designed to make leadership development accessible to young girls. These workshops are led by trained facilitators and focus on topics such as confidence, communication, belonging, and leadership in action.
